오늘도 산책로를 걷는 나는익숙한 향기가 멈춰 세운다.어디서 맡아본 냄새인가 싶어초록 잎사귀 사이 주렁주렁 매달린 하얀 꽃을 본다.일순간 순풍이 불어주니하얀 꽃송이 일제히 흔들거린다.마치 나를 환영하는 듯진한 향기로 나를 매혹한다.유년 시절, 저 하얀 꽃을 따 먹곤 했지.어느덧 허무한 나이의 무게 때문일까,이젠 그때처럼 달콤하지 않은 꽃서로 더 따 먹으려 애썼던 그날들……지금 그 친구들 무얼 하며 지낼까?보고 싶다. 그리운 얼굴들,모두들 잘 있지,꽃향기에 살포시 안부를 묻는다.발걸음을 다시 떼어 본다.눈부신 하얀 꽃송이 사이로오래된 향수를 바람에 실어 보내며그저 나지막이 웃는다.(2026년 5월 6일)
Walking along the trail again today,A familiar scent brings me to a halt.Wondering where I have smelled this before,I see white blossoms hanging in clusters between the green leaves.As a gentle breeze blows for a moment,The white clusters sway all at once.As if welcoming me,They enchant me with their deep fragrance.In my childhood, I used to pick and eat those white flowers.Is it because of the weight of my now-futile age?The flowers are no longer as sweet as they were then.Oh, those days when we struggled to pick more than one another……What are those friends doing now?I miss them, those dear faces.Everyone is doing well,I softly send my regards through the scent of the flowers.Resuming my walk once more,Through the dazzling white blossoms,I let the old nostalgia drift away on the windAnd simply smile, ever so quietly.(May 6, 2026)
